Position Overview
The Director of Operations at The Augustine Academy (TAA) is first and foremost a lover of Jesus Christ, and secondarily a lover of his human creatures, especially children. Within this relational context, the Director of Operations is responsible for modelling and encouraging a hopeful, high-joy, inspirational, and peacefully authoritative atmosphere. Every day the Director of Operations is to expect, uphold, and support the training of students in the habits of the good life (students’ ways of relating to work and persons), which is, ultimately and ineluctably, sharing in the life of Jesus Christ. In a broad sense, the Director of Operations also represents the school on and off campus, and acts on behalf of the school by professionally and warmly interacting with all students, parents, teachers, staff, and visitors.
The Director of Operations reports to the Headmaster and is primarily responsible for leading the operational functions and administrative professionals of the school in support of The Augustine Academy mission. He or she works to ensure the operational excellence of the organization, ensures contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and effectively utilizes TAA’s resources.

Leadership
The Director of Operations at The Augustine Academy will exemplify the humility of Jesus by being a servant of all. The foremost tasks of such service would include but are not limited to the following:
- Support the Headmaster in developing and overseeing the evaluation of the organizational mission, goals, and initiatives in accordance with school, board, and state requirements
- Support the Headmaster in fostering a joy-filled school and community culture, as well as ensuring a safe and healthy environment conducive to achieving the school’s mission
- Liaise with external agencies, including the Wisconsin Department of Education, local publicschool districts, and state and federal entities
- Facilitate the recruitment, hiring, and training of operational personnel (i.e., non-instructional staff)
- Develop and implement professional development programs for administrative staff
Operations Management
Assist the Headmaster in all administrative operations, with the central tasks being:
- Develop and implement operational policies and processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Manage the admissions and enrollment processes, encompassing system readiness, tuition management, scheduling and tracking of process steps, and reporting of metrics
- Manage inventory of curriculum, classroom and office supplies, and equipment
- Oversee the implementation of school uniforms policies, manage relationships with suppliers, and ensure effective communication of uniform expectations
- Manage school facilities including lease compliance, maintenance requests, and event reservations
- Develop, maintain, and ensure comprehensive training for all safety and security plans
- Develop, manage, and communicate annual school year calendar
- Plan, oversee, and ensure communication of all updates, events, meetings, conferences, and programs
- Manage transportation processes and logistics, including reimbursements with local public-school districts
- Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Headmaster
Compliance Management
- Ensure all required government documents are timely filed to maintain the status of the school as a tax-exempt organization and to maintain any other documents required by board of directors, the state of Wisconsin, and the federal government
- Ensure school compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules
- Prepare and manage grant applications, ensuring adherence to all grant requirements.
- Collaborate with the Board treasurer, and licensed accounting professional to develop and manage the school’s operational budget
- Oversee and manage expenses to maintain cost-efficient operations
- Verify that all contracts held by the organization are being fulfilled

- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Education Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Experience in school operations or a related administrative role
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency in using technology and data management systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail
Compensation, Benefits, & Hiring
Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits offered include healthcare stipend, paid vacation/holidays, and tuition remission for children. Will be required to pass state and federal background checks.
