Ambleside Schools International provides experience, wisdom, and resources to prospective schools, offering the comprehensive support needed to start and sustain a thriving educational community.

 

The most highly valued services Ambleside Schools International provides its member schools are:

  • Regular school visits by the skilled staff of Ambleside Schools International to inspire, train, and support member schools in the consistent application of Charlotte Mason’s philosophy and the Ambleside Method.
  • Ambleside training both at events sponsored by Ambleside Schools International (Internships, Summer Institute, etc.) and by means of resources provided to local school leadership, including materials for faculty in-service sessions and regular staff meetings.
  • The Ambleside Curriculum and its supporting resources, including sequences, example lesson plans, and exams.
  • Membership in an extended and formative community of teachers, school administrators, and board members, all sharing a common commitment to Christ and an Ambleside Education.
  • Expert consulting regarding school matters

Additional services provided to member schools by Ambleside Schools International include:

  • Support and resources to aid in the founding of a school.
  • Diverse marketing resources, including a website template and use of logos and other communications collateral.
  • Monthly principals’ calls and an annual principals’ conference, providing principals with needed training, support, and encouragement.
  • Resources for parent education, including campus meetings and a One-Day Parent Internship.
  • Tools for hiring new teachers, including a proven process for maximizing fit.
  • Support in the process of selecting a new principal.
  • Templates for a teacher handbook, a parent handbook, and a board policy manual.
  • Streamlined accreditation by Accreditation International (http://www.aiaccredits.org) and the National Council for Private School Accreditation. NCPSA has reciprocity with Middle States Association of College and Schools, making accreditation with Middle States a further option.
